Welcome to 100 Emmett Ave, here there is a lovely building with great architecture!
Yes this is York Humber High School, Where everyone say "Build the future".
There are several Experiential Learning programs including Green Industries, Food Services, Cosmetology, Auto Shop, and Carpentry at YMHS (York Humber High School), also it has a Cooperative Education department where students develop many experiences and skills towards graduation and many other courses designed to increase employability, literacy and numeracy skills.
History:
In 1989, the school was relocated to Frank Oke Secondary School as a temporary location and the new replacement school was built on Emmett Road in 1992 designed by Nowski Partners Architects. The former location was reopened by the Metropolitan Separate School Board as Archbishop Romero Catholic Secondary School that same year.
Principal: Rhonda Davy

Business & Technology:
The Business & Technology department offers courses to our students that provide hands-on, real-life skills that are necessary for real-world experiences and being work place ready upon graduation.
Student success is a top priority in this department and York Humber High School strives to provide individualized and differentiated programming, allowing students to focus on their strengths and future goals beyond high school.
Tip:
It is a nice vision to try to visit each school during a normal school day so that you can get a better sense of what it is really like instead of the marketing spin on a heavily orchestrated Open Day. The best time to visit is during break time. Look for attentive faces in class, positive teacher/ non-teaching staff and pupil interaction, happy faces in the corridors, good manners and greetings from the pupils and whatever makes you feel peaceful by these simple idea selecting appropriate school turns out to peace of cake!
