Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute, one of the largest facilities in the Toronto District School Board, offers strong academic courses, unique and special programs, and an exceptional range of co-curricular activities. The school serves immersion and extended French students. If you aim to develop your talents CCI is a great place for you.
Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute (CCI or Cedarbrae CI), formerly Cedarbrae Secondary School is a Toronto District School Board semestered public secondary school in the Woburn neighbourhood in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1961 by the former Scarborough Board of Education.
The school motto is "Here is a place where you can develop your talents." one simple way to find your talent is to remember when people thank us for something, they have been helped in some way. Notice what you are thanked for on the regular. Are you a good listener? A good teacher? A good motivator? All of these things are talents even though they seem small. Remember that your talents shouldn’t just be in service to other people, but to you as well. If you’re in a constant mode of selflessness, use your talent as a caregiver to take care of yourself. Know that as you give to yourself, you’re growing your ability to give to others.

Cedarbrae also has a unique layout in which the Technology Department has separated from the rest of the school. Cedarbrae is located on a hill-like landscape which causes the schools' two wings to be at different elevations; because of this the academic side (Markham Road and Eastpark Boulevard) is known as floors 1, 2, and 3, while the technology wing (Markham Road and Greencedar Circuit) is known as floors 4 and 5. Lockers are usually painted aqua green, silver, yellow, red, and blue. The school has 14 fire exits.

Note:
A large body of research over the past century has consistently found that school facilities impact teaching and learning in profound ways. Yet state and local policymakers often overlook the impact facilities can play in improving outcomes for both teachers and students. While improving facilities comes at a financial cost, the benefits of such investments often surpass the initial fiscal costs. Policymakers, thus, should focus greater attention on the impacts of facilities and adopt a long-term cost-benefit perspective on efforts to improve school facilities.
